About James Sharp, Drum Tutor in Totnes
Professional drum tuition for all ages and levels.
James has been playing drums since 1986, playing all over the U.K, and contributing drums & percussion on three well-received albums by singer-songwriter Nicky Swann.
He has also written on motivation and practice for Modern Drummer, the worlds most widely read drum magazine, along with Music Teacher magazine.
James became a Drumsense tutor in 2008, and became a Drumsense Master Tutor in January 2013.
He now teaches a very healthy roster of private students of various ages & levels, also teaching in several schools as a peripatetic tutor, as well as providing drum tuition for Exeter University music scholarships.
James plays Yamaha acoustic drums & electronics, Istanbul Mehmet cymbals, and uses Protection Racket cases, Remo drum heads & Keo Percussion practice pads & accessories.
He is married with three children, and lives in Totnes, Devon.
